Ryanair hopes to order 200 aircraft

Irish budget airline Ryanair said on Tuesday it wanted to wrap up an order for 200 aircraft from either Boeing or Airbus by the end of the year, for delivery after 2012.

Chief Executive Michael O'Leary said: "If for some reason we can't conclude an agreement with Boeing and Airbus, certainly by the end of the year, we will simply announce we are not going to buy any more aircraft.

"We will then stop growing beyond 2012 when our current delivery stream runs out."

Ryanair's fleet currently consists of Boeing aircraft but O'Leary said if Airbus offered a better deal he would order Airbus planes.

If he couldn't conclude a deal he would start distributing cash to shareholders.

"If you can't get Boeing or Airbus to make a decision between now and December I will lose interest and go with plan B," he said.

O'Leary was speaking at a press conference in London after the BBC current affairs TV programme Panorama broadcast a profile of the airline on Monday which said its website was misleading and that it imposed hidden charges.

"We have plenty of charges but none of them are hidden," said O'Leary, who reiterated that charging passengers to use the toilets remained a longer-term aim.

Край на безплатното букване с Visa Electron след 31 декември. Частица от мен умря с тази новина.

Новият безплатен метод ще е със MasterCard Prepaid, което дори не съм сигурен какво е точно и как се вади в нашата мила държава.

В България мисля , че не се предлага. Това е по същество е дебитна карта , която обиче се приеме и разпознава като кредитна.
Вкарваш определена сума и разполагаш само се нея . Измислиха ги преди 2-3 години като целевата група бяха многото емигранти в UK , които нямат достъп до нормални кредитни карти и акунти.
Ако наистина го въведат ще си извадя една при следващото ходене до Англия.

Аз имам подобна карта, издадена от българска банка, но никъде не е обозначена като prepaid. Т.е. съвсем нормална мастър кард, която се разпознава като кредитна, но е вързана към банкова сметка и не можеш да разполагаш с повече пари, отколкото имаш на сметката.

Каква ли отстъпка са дали на МОЛ за да зареже Visa ?

Ами според мен не е заради отстъпката, а идеята е да си увеличат приходите. Тези предплатени карти едва ли се продават извън Великобритания, което автоматично означава в Европа всеки един билет да е с такса за плащане. Все пак твърде много хора имат Виза Електрон и не им се е понравило явно.

Иначе вярно това с плащанията е не много елегантен начин на авиокомпаниите да си увеличат печалбите.
Вярно е и , че от Visa и останалите взимат % от транзакцията , и това е в ущърб на търговеца .
Защо обаче Ryan и другите не си удържат от клиента само този % който е много по-малък от 5 евро на всяко плащане ?

Ryanair ме прецакаха , както никой досега . Определено повече няма да ги ползвам !
Премахват всички вътрешни полети в Италия от 23 . Януари 2010 и ми провалят три резервации с други авиокомпании .

Ryanair, Italy’s favourite airline, today (23rd Dec) announced that it would cease operating domestic routes from 10 of its Bases in Italy: Alghero, Bari, Bergamo, Bologna, Brindisi, Cagliari, Ciampino, Pescara, Pisa and Trapani, with effect from Saturday 23rd January 2010, following the lifting of Ryanair’s injunction against ENAC Ordinanzas (Ref No. 26/2009 and 79320/DIRGEN/DG) which requires Ryanair to accept various unsecure forms of ID for passengers travelling on Ryanair’s Italian domestic flights. These other forms of ID do not meet international security standards and the impact of ENAC’s Ordinanzas will be to significantly reduce the safety and security of Ryanair’s passengers and its flights on domestic Italian routes.

Ryanair operates a 100% web check-in policy and it is imperative for the safety and security of all Ryanair flights, that all passengers agree at the time of booking, that they will produce either a passport or an EU/EEA National ID card at the boarding gate prior to the boarding of their flight. These safety and security procedures have worked satisfactorily for many years across all of Ryanair’s 1,000 routes for both domestic and international flights throughout the European Union.

Ryanair cannot allow its approved safety and security procedures to be interfered with and undermined by unlawful and inappropriate ENAC Ordinanzas which reduce passenger and aircraft safety/security. Ryanair will cease operating domestic flights from the above Italian airports from Saturday 23rd Jan (i.e. with one month’s notice), and these flights will only be restored if Ryanair can be certain that the safety and security of its operations will not be undermined by ENAC’s unlawful interference.

Ryanair calls on all passengers to complain about ENAC unlawful interference in the safety and security of Ryanair’s operations to the Director General of ENAC, Mr Alessio Quaranta, at segreteria.dg@enac.gov.it

In relation to your flight’s booked under confirmation number K3Q44Y, see details below this service will cease operation from the 23/01/10.

Please advise any other passengers who may be travelling in your party of the cancellation of this booking.

Any flights booked to depart after the 23rd January 2010 will be cancelled and a refund will be automatically processed back to the original form of payment used to pay for the original booking.
